Hiking Tour “Lost in the Forest”

Overview

Enjoy a short hike through the dense forests of Pelion, trek in one of its streams, and get the chance to jump at super cool natural pools.

There is something outwardly about the dense forests of Pelion. In spring creeks and streams full of water run through their blossoming trees. During summer, they become a cool and peaceful hideout to escape the heat and the crowds. And in fall they turn from green to all shades of red, composing a scenery that can only be called magical. That’s why we chose this hiking route that celebrates the forests of East Pelion every season.

What you’ll do

We’ll meet at the outskirts of Zagora, and after a short briefing, you’ll get in our van to take a 15-minute drive to the starting point of the route, located higher in the mountain.

We’ll begin our hike walking on a forest road surrounded by beech trees, and after a while, we will enter a denser part of the forest following a footpath that will eventually lead us next to a small stream, where we’ll stop for our first break.

After the break, we’ll keep on descending the mountain, until we reach a spot where we’ll trek for approximately 500 metres next to a stream. While doing so, we’ll take another break to enjoy the scenery and, whoever feels like it, can enter the freezing waters at one of the little natural pools there.

Once you get dry we’ll continue our hike through apple fields and chestnut trees, till we reach the finish point, where you have parked your car.

What to wear

Suitable walking shoes, no sandals or flip-flops (we recommend walking boots, sports shoes or closed-toe shoes with non-slippery soles)

Long trousers are always recommended for hiking, although you are free to make your own choices, just dress accordingly to weather conditions

Payment Method

No deposit is required. Full payment is due on the date of the experience, in cash or by card.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel up to 7 days before the experience starts without cancellation fees, or within 24 hours of booking as long as the booking is made more than 48 hours before the start time.
